Elephant kills young man in Giridih

A 25-year-old Divyang youth Ajay Sharma alias Tawar was crushed to death by a wild elephant at Nematand village under Sariya block in Giridih.  The incident is being reported late Thursday night. 

After receiving information on Friday morning, a large number of villagers reached the spot. On getting the information, Bagodar MLA Vinod Singh,and  AJSU leader Anoop Pandey also reached the deceased's house and met his family members. 

After the incident, the body of the deceased was sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.  In the meantime, after the incident, Siriya chief Ramapathi Prasad, who reached the deceased's house, took a fierce blow on the negligence of the forest department. 

While providing relief to the families, he said that according to the provision, the family of the deceased will get a compensation of four lakhs but the forest department personnel would have been somewhat serious.

 Then this incident probably would not have happened,while the negligence of personnel of the forest department is also coming to light on the incident of elephants being crushed by a handicapped youth.

Information about this was given to the personnel of the Forest Department, including the Saria Ranger.  

According to the information, a dozen herds of wild elephants had arrived in Neematand village areas. Late in the night, two elephants reached the village of Nematand while touring the forested areas. An attempt was made to drive away these two elephants that an elephant crushed and killed Divyang Ajay Sharma while he was in his grip.
