Displaying exemplary courage, a girl foiled a mobile phone loot attempt and also managed to nab the robbers in the Dumduma area of Bhubaneswar on Saturday evening.
According to reports, Rani Dakua, a resident of Sarakantara, was returning home from her workplace by a motorcycle when two motorbike-borne miscreants tried to snatch away her mobile phone, which was being used by her at that time for a conversation. Rani bravely resisted the loot attempt while the criminals failed to take away the device from her possession. Moments later, Rani and the robber duo fell from the moving vehicles and sustained injuries.
Despite being injured, Rani managed to nab one of the looters following a fight between her and the two. Locals soon gathered at the spot and nabbed the other robber before he could flee the place. They thrashed the looters and later handed them over to the Khandagiri police.
