The State Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Pathaik here on Monday approved a proposal for execution of two of rural piped water supply projects to provide safe drinking water in Ganjam district out of JJM funding.
By execution of these projects, 6,64,313 people spread over 304 villages in 86 gram panchayats of four blocks of the district would be benefited. The Cabinet also approved the lowest tender of KEC-SPML (JV), Mumbai amounting to Rs 325,75, 64,910 for execution of these works, which are targeted for completion within a period of 24 months.
Similarly, the Cabinet also sanctioned a proposal for execution of two rural piped water supply projects to provide safe drinking water in Boudh and Kandhamal districts out of JJM funding.
By execution of these projects, 2,79,105 people spread over 975 villages under 71 GPs of seven blocks of the districts would be benefited. The Cabinet approved the lowest tender of L&T Ltd, Chennai amounting to Rs 657,57,04,000 for execution of these works, which are targeted for completion within a period of 24 months.
Further, the Cabinet took a decision for execution of two rural piped water supply projects to provide safe drinking water in Rayagada district out of JJM funding. By execution of these projects, 1,57,147 people of 474 villages under 28 GPs of two blocks of the district would be benefited.
The Cabinet approved the lowest tender of KEC-SPML (JV), Mumbai, amounting to Rs 298,69,69,796 for execution of these works, which are targeted for completion within a period of 24 months.
