After the revamping of the Uttar Pradesh Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) Commission on Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh government reconstituted the Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes Commission here on Thursday.
Jaswant Saini of Saharanpur, who was the vice-chairman earlier, has been made the chairman of Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes Commission, officials said here on Thursday. Heera Thakur and Prabhunath Chauhan have been made vice-chairpersons of the commission. As many as 25 commission members have also been appointed.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also tweeted on Thursday, congratulating Jaswant Saini.
