Hospital uses robotic arm to remove huge fibroid tumour

In a first-of-its-kind surgery, a leading city hospital used a robotic arm to remove a huge fibroid tumour in the Uterus of a Namibian woman who visited the hospital complaining of severe pain in the stomach.Dr Rahul Manchanda, head of gynaecology department in PSRI hospital said “The woman visited the hospital complaining of severe pain in the tummy and was bleeding profusely. On examination, the cause was found to be a huge fibroid tumour in her Uterus, which needed to be removed surgically, he said.
