Constitution Day organised in ECR

Constitution Day was organized in East Central Railway on Friday. On this occasion, General Manager Anupam Sharma read out the Preamble of the Constitution at Headquarters, Hajipur through digital medium along with the President of India. Simultaneously, all the officers and employees of ECR Headquarters along with the GM read out the Preamble of the Constitution. Constitution Day was also organized in Danapur, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Dhanbad, Sonpur and Samastipur divisions today. On this occasion the officers and employees of the five divisions read out the preamble of the constitution and remembered the values and ideals enshrined in the constitution. Constitution Day was also organized at various units, factories, Railway Recruitment Boards/Cells along with major stations of ECR in which the Preamble of the Constitution was read.

CCL celebrates Constitution Day

Central Coalfields Ltd celebrated Constitution Day on Friday. On the occasion CCL officers and employees joined the President of India live, in reading the Preamble of the Constitution. Director (Technical/Oprns) Bhola Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer SK Sinha, Advocate, Jharkhand High Court Anoop Kr Mehta, GM (Legal) P. Bhattacharjee, GM (Admn) UP Narayan and others attended Constitution Day Celebration in Parliament on virtual mode from CCL Headquarters, Ranchi.  All Area GMs and other establishments too remained connected in virtual mode. Representatives of employees association too attended the programme. Later, a talk/webinar on “Constitutional Democracy and Fundamental Principles of Indian Constitution” was organised here at CCL headquarters where all operational mining areas remained connected and listened the discussion.  Senior advocate, Jharkhand High Court A.K. Mehta in his address said that after India became an Independent nation, the Constituent Assembly entrusted the job of drafting the Constitution to a committee chaired by Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. Dr Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, was the President of the Constituent Assembly.  The Indian Constitution came into force on January 26, 1950.

RBI office holds Financial Literacy Camp

Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi Regional office organized a Field level Financial Literacy Camp on Friday at Central Coalfield Limited, Piparwar, Chatra. The program was attended by General Manager (Officer-in-Charge), Sanjeev Sinha, Navin Kumar Adarsh, Richard Alok Ekka, Nitin Kumar along with General Manager, CCL, Piparwar staff members working in coalfields and representatives from commercial banks.  In his address, Sinha said that the main objective of the FL camp is to provide information related to Banking and financial risks to the participants, with a view to promote financial awareness and financial inclusion.

Ranchi DLSA celebrates Constitution Day

Following the instruction of Justice-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ranchi, on Friday the Constitution Day was celebrated at Ranchi Civil Court. On this occasion, Justice Commissioner, Ranchi, Arun Kumar Rai, Chief Justice, Family Court, Rashikesh Kumar, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vinay Kumar Lal, Secretary in-charge, DLSA, Ranchi Manoranjan Kumar as the guest on the occasion.

Seminar held at CUJ

In the continuation of the two day International Webinar on ‘Role of Transportation, Environment, and Energy in Integrated Urban Planning-2021 being organized by the Department of Transport Science and Technology and Department of Environmental Sciences, Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), Ranchi ended on Friday. Three technical sessions conducted on the first day of the International webinar.

Constitutions Day celebrated at BAU

Constitution Day was celebrated on Friday at Birsa Agriculture University in the State Capital. A function was organized on this occasion. Vice Chancellor, Dr Omkar Nath Singh, started the program by paying homage by garlanding the portrait of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution. On the occasion the Dean, Director, Registrar, Professor, Officers and staff of the University offered flowers to the portrait of Dr Ambedkar.

Constitution Day celebrated in BSL

Constitution Day was celebrated at Bokaro Steel Plant. On this occasion, BSL Director-in-Charge (DIC) Amarendu Prakash and other senior officials reiterated the preamble of the Constitution under the leadership of President of India Ram Nath Kovind during the Constitution Day programme live broadcast in TV channels from Parliament House. DIC was accompanied by VK Pandey Executive Director (Materials Management), Sameer Swarup, Executive Director (P&A), CGM IN (Finance and Accounts) Suresh Rangani, CGM IN (Mines) J Dasgupta, CGM (Technical) Laxmi Das and other officers were present. Executive Director (Works) Atanu Bhowmik and Chief General Manager participated in this program from the plant premises. COC BSL MK Dhan along with other senior officers of BSL also participated in the programme.

BSL School’s organised Essay competition

Constitution Day was celebrated in Ispat Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School 8B. Chief General Manager (Town Administration) BS Popli, Assistant Manager (Education) PM Nair, students of 10 schools run by BSL, teachers and other colleagues were present on this occasion. The Preamble of the Constitution was read to the children by the CGM BS Popli before the essay competition organized on this occasion. Children from all 10 schools participated in the competition. In the essay competition, Divya Pandey of BISSS-3 got first, Ganga of BISSS-2 got second and Sinku Kumari of BISSS-8B got third place.

Constitution Day at IIM-R

IIM Ranchi celebrated Constitution Day virtually in the presence of Prof. Shailendra Singh, Director, IIM Ranchi. Chief Guest Rajiv Ranjan, Advocate General, Government of Jharkhand, and other IIM Ranchi faculty members and students. The event started with the National Song, Vande matram. Following that, Director Professor Shailendra Singh briefed everyone on the significance of Constitution Day and the wisdom of commemorating it. Following the director's address, everyone read the preamble of the Indian constitution in unison in the presence of the Chief Guest to commemorate the occasion. The Chief Guest spoke to the enthused students about the origins of the Indian constitution and how it serves as the foundation for all lawmaking and policymaking in the country.
