Inter-State short film fest in Gwalior from Oct 3-4

A two day inter-State short film festival under the aegis of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana will be held in Gwalior on October 3 and 4. The festival will be held at the premises of the Indian Institute of Tourism Management at City Centre, Gwalior.

Speaking to media persons at a press conference on Monday, Keshav Pandey, Chairman of the organizing committee and regional coordinator of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana, Dinesh Chakkankar said that Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana encourages films that promote progressiveness of Indian society with timeless philosophy. To facilitate and promote such films and film-makers, the organization has been organizing film festivals at various cities in India since 2016.

Speaking further on the festival they said that the topics for the two day festival will include India’s Freedom Struggle, 75 years of independence, Unlockdown, Vocal for Local, Culture and Values of India, Innovation, Family, Environment and Energy and Education among others.

Pandey said that  there is lot of scope for such festivals and cultural congregations in Gwalior. He added that films have strong clout to help India to regain its lost glory and become an effective support system for rejuvenating the Indian society. Pandey added that films are one of the most potent media of carrying information and entertainment to the masses and opined that the citizens of Gwalior will greatly benefit from this festival.

The press conference was also attended by vice-president Deepak Tomar; patron, Alok Sharmaa, Director, IITTM, Gwalior; Vice-Chancellor of Man Singh Tomar Arts and Music University Gwalior, Prof. Sahitya Kumar Nahar and Kiron Bhadouria, Educationalist and Social Activist among others.
