On the auspicious occasion of World Disability Day, Jharkhand Divyang Cricket team won the series organized in Patna. The final match played between Bihar and Jharkhand was played at Urja Stadium in Patna. Bihar team won the toss and decided to bat first. The entire team of Bihar was all out after scoring 114 runs in 18 overs.
For Bihar Ananth Kumar made 22 runs and Dharmendra Kumar made 21runs. From Jharkhand Nishant and Vijay took three wickets each. Vagish Tripathi played an innings of 56 not out, Nishant 25 and Akash Singh Munda contributed 11 runs. Vagish Tripathi was declared Man of the Match, while Man of the Series was given to Saurashtra’s Raju Paramkar. Best Batsman award was given to Vagish Tripathi of Jharkhand and Best Bowler from Jharkhand team itself Nishant Kumar Upadhyay.
Chairman, Board of Control for Cricket with Disabilities, Mukesh Kanchan was present as the chief guest in the closing ceremony. President Rahul Mehta congratulated the Jharkhand team. Bihar Divyang Cricket Association President Vikas Jha said that very soon an eight-team night tournament will be organized at Urja Stadium in Patna. On this victory of Jharkhand, Haroon Rashid, Secretary, Board of Control for Cricket in India with disabilities congratulated the team of Jharkhand.
