Khargone was hottest on Wednesday in the country by recording highest day temperature at 43.2 degree Celsius. Five places among the hottest temperatures on Wednesday were of the state.
With the soaring temperatures, several parts of the state have started witnessing heat wave conditions in the past 2-3 days. Bhopal recorded 40.5 degree Celsius while night temperature was 21.5 degree Celsius.
Among the nearby regions Hoshangabad recorded day temperature at 42.7 degree Celsius. Most of the places in the state recorded day temperature over 40 degree Celsius.
The day temperatures were recorded at 43 degree Celsius which was the highest in the state recorded at Khargone, Khajuraho, Nowgong and Datia. Warning of heat wave conditions have been issued for Satna, Chattarpur, Damoh and Datia.
According to Met department there is a possibility of heat wave conditions in east Madhya Pradesh during the next 48 hours and in few areas in west Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 hours.The pattern of dry weather is likely to remain for the next one week and there is very less chance of any change in the temperature of during the next 48 hours. After 48 hours, the day temperature is likely to decrease by 2- 4 degree Celsius providing relief from the scorching heat.
Heat wave were witnessed in Chhindwara, Naugaon and Rewa of eastern Madhya Pradesh region.
