Khattar inaugurates 150-bedded Covid Care Centre in Sirsa

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday inaugurated a 150 bedded Covid Care Centre at Baba Tara Charitable Hospital and Research Centre in Sirsa.

In this Centre which was inaugurated virtually, ventilator beds have been installed along with the facility of oxygen.

After the inauguration of Covid Care Centre,  the Chief Minister said that now, there is no shortage of oxygen in Haryana.  The state quota has increased from 152 tonnes to 282 MT. Besides this, demand for getting additional oxygen quota has also been made to the Centre, he said.

He said that the State Government is supplying oxygen as per the requirement to all hospitals.  At the same time, an oxygen cylinder refilling facility is being made available to the patients staying in home isolation.  A portal has been made for this system, on which patients are also applying and social organisations are also getting themselves registered, he added.

Khattar said that the State Government is making all possible arrangements to tackle this Pandemic.

He said that private hospitals and social organisations are coming forward to arrange for oxygen beds.  The Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to Baba Charitable Trust for setting up a Covid Care Centre.

 

COMMUNITY POLICING SHOULD BE IMPOSE DIN VILLAGES

The Chief Minister said that as the Covid-19  infection is spreading in the villages therefore 'Theekri Pehras' (community policing) should be imposed in the villages.

He said that till now, the Covid-19 infection was limited to urban areas but the disease has now started spreading its wings in rural areas too. Therefore everyone has to remain vigilant  

Teams have been constituted to conduct door to door investigations in the villages and every department is cooperating in this, he added.

All those who are taking part in agitations should be made to stay in isolation centres and should be allowed to go back to their respective villages only after proper medical screening, he said.

 

CM FLAGS OFF TWO OXYGEN TANKERS, AIRLIFTED BY IAF

The Chief Minister flagged off two tankers from the International Airport, Chandigarh that were to be airlifted by cargo plane for bringing oxygen supply to Haryana. These tankers have been sent to Bhubaneshwar and will carry about 45 tonnes of oxygen.

The Chief Minister said that tankers are being airlifted daily for oxygen supply so that uninterrupted oxygen supply can be ensured and the Covid-19 patients in Haryana do not have to face any problem.

He said that the tankers will return next day with liquid medical oxygen supply from the Tata Steel plant in Odisha.

The Chief Minister said that the supply of medical oxygen is coming from many places such as Rourkela, Jamnagar, Angul etc. by train or is being airlifted.  So far, the aircraft has made 19 rounds and 436 metric tons of medical oxygen has been supplied through 36 tankers. 

The Chief Minister said that the Indian Air Force is doing commendable work during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Khattar further said that 500 bedded hospitals are being set up in each in Panipat and Hisar.  Army's cooperation is also being taken in this work, he added.
