A lecture was organized at the Swami Vivekananda Library under the ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ on Saturday.The speaker of the session was Ashok Pandey, former chairman of Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission and the commissioner of Madhya Pradesh Public Education, Jayashree Kiyawat presided over the programme.

Ashok Pandey said that my own view is that the fight for freedom was a fight for  ‘self and self-respect’.Millions of people made their sacrifices in the freedom movement, but their name is missing from the pages of history. The spirit of Amrit Mahotsav is that through this we remember the struggle of those mighty warriors, remember them through research and records, we should all do the work of exposing them. Today it is a matter of self-concern, we should be complaining about achievements and shortcomings. Giving the presidential address, Commissioner Jayashree Kiyawat said that happiness is never possible in subjugation, today history writing is needed from the Indian point of view. We should also learn from our glorious tradition. Amrit Mahotsav is the result of the vision and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we should move forward by realizing the core of Siddhi with resolve by 2022.
