Man who fired at newly wed couple after woman refused to marry him held

Teelajamalpura have arrested main accused involved in opening fire at newly wed couple near Nadra bus stand on November 18; accused attack woman who refused marriage proposal and married other man.

Arshad of Bhadbhada area was arrested after he was found involved in attacking a newly wed couple outside marriage venue in the night on November 18.

The accused revealed that he was in love with the woman and was acquainted with him. He proposed to marry her but she refused and later married another man. The accused planned to open fire at woman and in the planning three of his aides helped him.

Main accused was narrowed down and arrested by the police after victims were questioned in the investigation.

Notably, panic prevailed at Nadra bus stand after two scooter borne miscreants fired twice at a newlywed couple near Berasia bus stand area in the night on November 18; couple was attacked while on their way to car after marriage ceremony.

The victims were shot twice but they escaped unhurt when couple was trying to sit in a car after marriage ceremony.

Mohammad Salman(30) runs a garment shop and his marriage was scheduled on November 18 and after marriage when he came out to leave for home along with his wife, two scooter borne miscreants appeared and opened fire on Salman twice but he managed to escape both shots.

The victim lodged complaint with the police and in his complaint victim claimed that he had never seen accused. The police have intensified the search for the accused. The police registered a case under section 307 of the IPC.
