The distribution of medicalkits containing medicines forpatients having even mild symp-toms of Covid-19 is helpful incontrolling the pandemic, espe-cially in rural areas.The Health Department said in apress communiqué on Mondaythat in a bid to check the pan-demic, a total of 6.29 lakh medi-cine kits have been distributedacross the state.“The kits are provided to thesymptomatic patients at a veryinitial stage,” said an official. “Itprevents the disease taking analarming proportion."The kits are provided by themitanins and members of sur-veillance teams.
