A Grassroots-Level Training Programme (GRLTP) workshop for SHGs working in Kukudakhandi block in Ganjam district was organised with the sponsorship of the NABARD on Friday. Block ABDO Bijaya Chandra Pradhan inaugurated the workshop.
Nabard DGM Suman Saurabh Sahu said that the motto of organising such workshop is to sensitise the SHG groups as to the welfare and entrepreneurship schemes being implemented by both the Central and State Governments to uplift their social and economic conditions as well as to make them self-reliant. VS Ashok Kumar Sahu outlined details on the subsidy -based schemes of dairy farming, Poultry and goat farming of which SHG'S can adopt as a viable livelihood., BAO K. Madhab Rao urged SHG'S to establish production-based entrepreneurship units taking advantage of facilities available under MKVY and PMKVY schemes. Among others, block CDPO Kusum Kumari Sahu, Indian Overseas Bank Branch Manager Saugat Ray also spoke. Chairman of Adarsha Sanjeba Kumar Patnaik presided over the meeting.
