No action taken yet against Block Resource Coordinator for irregularities in scheme

Saturday, 24 July 2021 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

Despite the instructions of School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar, no action has been taken against Block Resource Coordinator (BRC) Ravindra Jain of Phanda development block for his alleged financial irregularities in 'School Chalein Hum' abhiyan. The district administration and Rajya Shiksha Kendra (RSK) are sitting on the file for around 15 days.

On the basis of news regarding financial irregularities in the Abhiyan, the Minister had on April 01, 2021, written to the Principal Secretary asking to take stern action against Ravindra Jain. On June 25, 2021, Joint Director of RSK wrote a letter to District Collector for initiating a probe against Jain and submit a report within 15 days, so that an action can be taken in the matter.

However, in the first week of July, the district Collector marked the file to District Project Coordinator (DPC), RSK for investigation. But it is still lying with the DPC. Factually, the investigation of the employee cannot be handed over to his parent department, but in this matter the rules were flouted. The file is still lying in the Rajya Shiksha Kendra without any action.

District Project Officer of RSK Rajesh Batham told 'The Pioneer' that he has received the letter and working on the same. The probe will start soon, he added. However, on the matter of investigation in the same department where the employee works, Batham said, "What can I do? I need to comply with the orders received from Collector office."

Earlier, CEO Bhopal District Panchayat Vikas Mishra said that the process of investigation against Jain has been initiated.
