The Executive Body of the Odisha Administrative Service Association has condemned Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Tribal Affairs Bishweshwar Tudu’s statement terming it as detestable and deplorable.
The association said Tudu’s statement accusing OAS officers and associations of utter derogation and threatening duty-bound officers has severely affected their morale and personal dignity.
In an emergency meeting on Friday, the association stated that the OAS officers are working hard towards a holistic development of the State. “They are all well-aware of their limitations and decorum within the framework of statutory rules of business with neutrality and absolute integrity,” the statement said.
The association urged the Minister to refrain from such abrasive behaviour and be decorous in his statements, failing which the association shall bring the matter to the highest Constitutional authorities of the Union Government.
