Pharmacist, his employee held for black marketing of Remdesivir

Delhi Police has arrested a 41-year-old pharmacy shop owner and his employee  on Monday in connection with alleged black marketing of "Remdesivir" medicine in Delhi.

The accused, Basant Goel, a resident of Delhi's Vivek Vihar and his 27-year-old employee Ramoutar Sharma, a resident of  North Chhajupur in Delhi has been working with Goel for the last seven years at their pharmacy in Delhi's Durgapuri Extension Loni Road.

State governments have been asked to take strict action against anyone found indulged in black marketing or hoarding of antiviral drug remdesivir, Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on Monday.

Black marketing, hoarding of remdesivir is being strictly monitored and state governments, he said.
