The Giridih police on Saturday evening busted a gang of dacoits and arrested its four members.

Two country-made pistols, four cartridges of 3.15 bore, four bombs, one blood cotted strict, one motorcycle (JH-11W- 6713) and other items were recovered from their possession.

Giridih Dy SP HQ -2 Santosh Kumar Mishra said those arrested are in the age group of 33 to 55 years and were involved in a case of dacoity in the house of Tahlu Ravidash at Nayatard within Tisari police limits.

Circle Inspector Parmeshwar Leyangi said another member of the gang managed to escape and efforts are on to nab him. The arrested members of the gang have been identified as Rajendra Singh alias Munna Singh 33, of Purandaha lalkothi in Deoghar, Jethha Murmu 55 belonging to Dhudhpania Bhelwaghati, Md Eslam Ansari, 41,of Jamua in Giridih and 41 year old Kuwar Hembram of Jamdar,Gawwan in Giridih.

The Dy SP HQ-2 said the arrested dacoits were involved in a burglary case at Nayatard on March 18. In the case, 10 to 12 members of the gang barged into the house of Tahalu Ravidas, who runs the Customer Service Center, and decamped with cash of Rs 1 lakh and four mobiles.

In the incident, all 12 gang members entered the residence of Tahlu Ravidas, at Nayatard, and took away mobiles and cash. All the arrested persons were forwarded to court, the DySP informed. According to SP, Amit Renu, they allegedly barged into the house of one Tahalu Ravidas in Nsyatard area and escaped with Rs 1 lakh on March 18 this year.

 The arrested persons came on motorcycles, hit on his head with iron rods and escaped with the bag carrying cash, added the SP.
