Chhattisgarh’s Durg Collector on Wednesday told officials to send to jail anyone involved in black marketing Remedesivir injections, which is used for Covid-19 patients. The Collector instructed the hospital managements not to prescribe the injection to the medical stores in case of non-availability.
He told the hospitals to properly use the existing stock. Strict action will be taken if there is black marketing and the person involved will be sent to jail, a press release said.
The Collector said the Nodal Officer will audit the stock of medicine in the hospital every day and action will be taken in case of any irregularity. He also urged people not to rush to buy Remedesivir injection in the market.
