RTU conducts webinar on career prospects in physical education, sports coaching

A one-day national webinar was organized by the Department of Physical Education, Rabindranath Tagore University on Sunday.

The topic of the webinar was 'Career Prospects in Physical Education and Sports Coaching'. Dr. Narendra Gangwar, AFC A Licence, AIFF Instructor, Assistant Professor Sport Authority of India, Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education, Kerala were present as keynote speaker in the webinar.Addressing the students, Narendra said that today there are good opportunities in sports career not only in India but all over the world.

As a sports career, currently one can work in sports physiologist, sports biomechanics, sports journalist, sports commentator, marketing executive in sports etc. In today's era many courses related to sports have come such as Sports Management, M.Tech Sports Technology, MSc Sports Physiology/Sociology, B.Sc Sports Coaching, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed and Ph.D.

At the beginning of the programme, Manoj Pathak, Head of the Department of Physical Education of the University welcomed everyone. This webinar was completed under the guidance of Bramhaprakash Pethia, Vice Chancellor of the University, Vijay Singh, Registrar.

A large number of researchers, students and faculty participated in the programme. The webinar was conducted by Vikas Saxena, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education. At the end of the program, Assistant Professor Pankaj Kumar expressed his gratitude to all.
