Indore excise department is keeping a eagle eye on the sale purchase manufacturing and trafficking of illegal liquor in the entire district. Indore excise assistant commissioner Raj Narayan Soni on the instruction of Indore collector Manish Singh has formed a special team of informers to bust the trade of illegal liquor.
On Saturday night the excise department stopped 2 two wheelers on Agra Bombay highway in the kacchimohalla circle. Three people were arrested and two bikes were confiscated including the two boxes of liquor and two boxes of legend foreign liquor. The cost of the two bikes confiscated is rs 1,60,000 and the cost of the confiscated liquor is Rs 27000.
Both the arrested accused are booked under section 34(1). In the same way couple of days back a camp was launched against various dhaba besides the agra Bombay highway at rau, gawli palasia thavalai in which around 8 cases were registered under section 34 (1) and 8 accused were arrested. Cases were registered against jai mata di dhaba, Kushwaha dhaba, choti wala dhaba, ashapurna dhaba, Yuvraj dhaba and vaishnodevi dhaba.
