.The Covid-19 toll inched towards the 1,900-mark in the State as two more patients succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours while undergoing treatment at Covid hospitals. The fresh deaths were reported from Khordha and Sundargarh districts, with which the total toll increased to 1,898 in the State. The deceased of Khordha was a 69-year-old male, who was also suffering from diabetes mellitus. The Sundargarh death was male of 50 years.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 186 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the State. With this, the State’s total caseload mounted to 3,32,949.Of the total fresh cases detected from 26 districts, 108 were from different quarantine centres and 78 were local contact cases. Sundargarh district recorded the highest 35 fresh cases followed by Sambalpur (20) and Angul (18).
The latest number of total active cases in the State stood at 2,166 while the recovered cases at 3,28,832.
