Two suspended for irregularities in Ready-to-Eat scheme

Tuesday, 18 May 2021 | Staff Reporter | MAHASAMUND

The Chhattisgarh government has suspended two supervisors of the Woman and Child Development (WCD) Department and axed the services of two Self Help groups for alleged irregularities in the Ready-to-Eat scheme.

This followed a protest fast by Woman and Child Development officer of Mahasamund Sudhakar Bodle on Sunday.

WCD Director Divya Mishra set up an enquiry and took the action after the supervisors and SHGs were found prima facie guilty.

Addressing the media at the Mahasamund Collectorate, Mishra identified the suspended supervisors as Shashi Jaiswal (Baronda Bazaar) and Deepmala Tarak (Labhrakhurd).

The Self Help groups whose services were terminated are Pragati Mahila Swasahayata Samuh and Ekta Mahila Swasahayata Samuh.

Later, Bodle ended his fast before the Director and Collector Doman Singh.
