As a testament to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's incessant efforts towards the betterment of rural areas, Uttar Pradesh has won the E-Panchayat Puraskar 2021, outclassing all the other states of the country.
The Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj announced the results of e-Panchayat Puraskar 2021 under different categories, and Uttar Pradesh ranked first in Category I, followed by Assam and Chhattisgarh at second place and Odisha and Tamil Nadu at third.
The Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj has instituted the award to promote use of information technology for keeping a tab on the works done by the gram panchayats.
"Uttar Pradesh has been awarded for flawless and efficient implementation of the e-application developed by the Centre and a few more apps developed by the state government," an official said.
