Utkal Varsity student tests positive

Covid-19 has spread its wings to the Utkal University in the second wave of the pandemic as a postgraduate student in the Sociology Department has tested positive for the virus.

Following the detection of the Covid case, the university authorities deferred the upcoming first semester examination of PG programme till further orders.

“In view of a Covid-19 positive case found in the department and as per discussion with PG Council Chairman, mid-term examination for 1st semester students stands postponed until further order,” a notice issued by PG Department of Sociology, Utkal University, stated.
