Woman charred to death after her house catches fire due to short circuit

A 25-year-old woman charred to death after a short circuit borne fire broke at her house at Unchi Lalloi village under Berasia police station area on Monday. 

According to the police, the deceased Reena Gaur sustained burn injuries at her house and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.

In the initial investigation, it was found that the deceased sustaining burn injuries after fire broke out at her house. The victim was asleep at the time of the incident and before she could rescue herself fire spread rapidly resulting in her death.

After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem and a case under section 174 of the CrPC was registered. The reason of the fire was due to short circuit but it could not be ascertained and would be investigated, said police.

During the investigation police found that the deceased was asleep at her house while family members have gone to attend a religious function in the village. The fire broke out late in the afternoon and soon spread in the house engulfing the house and which left no escape route for the deceased leading her sustaining severe injuries and later she died.

Police said that the deceased died to burn injuries and would be investigated that she sustained injuries or she was set ablaze as the death occurred under suspicious circumstances.
