There is something beautiful about the Monstera plant — how its leaves uncurl and split — gives a sense of achievement that as a plant parent you have dome good. Now that the monsoons are here and it has been raining cats and dogs, here’s what you need to know about this plant.

It prefers soil that is lightly moist and generally likes to dry out between waterings. Since the air has lots of moisture be sure to check the soil before watering — the roots are sensitive to overwatering. Once the top two to four inches of the soil are dry, plant may need a drink.
