Meeting officials in the former Naxalite hub Sukma on Thursday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reiterated his commitment to work to build "trust, development and security" to deal with the problem of Naxalism.
Underlining the priority, he said the officers should ensure better implementation of the government schemes. They should ensure the benefits of schemes and programmes reach the maximum number of people, an official communication said.
He held the review meeting as part of a public interaction drive (Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan) at Sukma before leaving for Kutru, the border area of the state.
He said that officers should also work to speed up development work by strengthening security.
He laid stress on promoting entrepreneurship among youths and giving special attention to boost the income among Sukma residents. The youths can also be linked with employment by connecting them to different government schemes.
Baghel also called for promoting and encouraging tree plantation in the district, especially of fruit-bearing trees, so that the people reap economic benefits.
