'Neo-humanism, Rajadhiraja Yoga panacea for global ills'

The Birth Centenary celebration of Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar alias Shrii Shrii Anandmurti was solemnised with great fervor and gaiety here on Wednesday.

 

More than 500 Margis including monks and nuns from across the country, dignitaries from different walks of life as well as the followers from the Odisha were part of the event. Ananda Marga was founded by PR Sarkar in the small township at Jamalpur, Bihar in 1955 with the twin objectives of liberation of the self (atma moksartham) and service to humanity (Jagat hitayaca).

 

Former State Information Commissioner and founder of CYSD Jagadananda graced the occasion as chief guest and underlined the pioneering role of Ananda Marga as a socio-economic, cultural and spiritual movement which has played a catalyst role to awaken and guide people along the path of rectitude.

 

Acharya Sarbeswarananda Avadhuta, the global education secretary, as guest of gonour, underlined how Gurudev was a true neo- humanist, sensitive to the plight of the marginalised, deprived and exploited sections of human society as well as the life of flora and fauna.

 

Priyakrishnanda Avadhuta, global relief scretary, attended as special guest of the occasion. He highlighted the importance of Rajadhiraja Yoga improvised by Anandmurti for the holistic development of individual by which the decadence of values in different walks of life can be addressed.

 

Prof Aditya Kumar Mohanty, Central University, Tripura, as chief speaker, explained how human society stands at a crossroads, engulfed in the crisis of an unprecedented kind and the socio-economic cultural blueprint given by Sarkar in form of neo- humanism and Rajadhiraja Yoga would serve as the unfailing panacea for the global ills.

 

Global training secretary of Ananda Marga Acharya Bikashnanda Avadhuta presided. Souvenirs in English and Odia were released by the chief guest and the president. The occasion was marked by cultural programme by artists of RAWA Academy.
