51 more people infected in State

 The State on Sunday registered 51 new Covid-19 positive cases in 11 districts and the State pool, with which the total tally since the beginning of the pandemic increased to 12,88,851. 

Notably, the State had reported 38 cases on Saturday.

Among the newly-infected were six children in the age group of 0 to 18 years.

Out of the new cases, 30 were reported from quarantine and 21 local contacts.

Khordha district reported the day’s maximum 26 cases followed by Baleswar with four, Cuttack three, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh and Sundargarh  two  each and Boudh, Ganjam, Jharsuguda, Nuapada and Sambalpur one each.

Besides, seven cases were reported from the State pool.

The number of active cases was 239.

So far, 12,79,433 patients have recovered from the disease.
