AAP takes out Tiranga Yatra in Dehradun

The Uttarakhand unit of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took out a Tiranga Yatra in the provisional state capital on Thursday. In the  Yatra the party leaders and workers carried a 101 feet long Tricolour. The Yatra in Dehradun coincided with the programme of the party in New Delhi where the national convenor of AAP and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal hoisted the largest flag. The Yatra in Dehradun started from Ambedkar Park and passed through Clock Tower, Astley Hall, Subash Chowk, Lansdowne Chowk to culminate at Clock Tower.

 Large number of party workers and leaders took part in the Tiranga Yatra.

 Speaking on the occasion, the state convenor of AAP, Jot Singh Bisht said that the national flag is the pride of the country and it is the duty of every citizen to respect it. He said that  the national convenor of  AAP, Arvind Kejriwal has given a call that every citizen of the country should have a Tricolour in his/ her hand on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence.

The media in charge, Garhwal, Ravinder Anand said that to hold the national flag in hand on the occasion of 75th independence day is a matter of great pride and a pleasant experience. He said that the AAP has unfurled the biggest Tricolour in the world in Delhi and the Uttarakhand unit of AAP has followed the footsteps of  national leaders and has taken out the Yatra carrying 101 feet long Tricolour. The objective of the Yatra is to give the message of love and unity in diversity. The party workers also distributed national flags to the people on the occasion and encouraged everyone to hoist the national flag on their houses.
