The Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) and National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided Popular Front of India (PFI) bases in 8 states on Monday night and arrested 21 suspects from the state, in the raids more than 170 PFI workers have been arrested.
In Madhya Pradesh, 8 districts including Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore have been raided. The team has detained 21 suspects. Laptops and suspicious documents have also been seized from them. The ATS got information about these suspects during the interrogation of 4 accused arrested earlier. Action is also going on in Neemuch, Shajapur, Sheopur and Guna.
ATS has raided the office of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) in Bhopal on suspicion of funding PFI. From here the state president of SDPI Abdul Rauf has been arrested.
Abdul Rauf has been arrested from Bhopal. Rauf is the state president of SDPI. He is an oil trader by profession. After establishing roots in Indore, he was spreading the network of SDPI in Bhopal.
On the input of NIA (National Investigation Agency), MP ATS had earlier raided Indore, Ujjain and arrested PFI (Popular Front of India) State President Abdul Karim, General Secretary Abdul Khalid, Treasurer Mohammad Javed, State Secretary Jameel Sheikh from Indore.
The detainees arrested from Indore were identified as Abdul Rauf Belim, Abdul Sayeed, Tauseef Chhipa, Yusuf Molani, Danish Gauri, from Ujjain Azam Nagori, Aaqib Khan, Ishaq Khan, Zubair Ahmed, from Shajapur Shakir and Samiullah Khan, from Rajgarh Shahzad Baig, Raees Qureshi, Shahrukh alias Abdur Rehman, from Guna Mohsin Quresh, from Sheopur Shamsad, Azam Iqbal, from Neemuch Imran Tanwar, Khwaja Hussain Mansoori, Sahil Khan and Aashiq Rangrej.
NIA and ED arrested 4 PFI office bearers from Indore and Ujjain on Thursday midnight. This action was taken between 1 to 3 pm in Sadar Bazar, Chhupa Bakhal and Kotwali police station area of Ujjain in Indore.
