The West Bengal girl student Sweety Roy, who had gone missing from the Bhubaneswar railway station on Thursday, has been captured on CCTV leaving the station with a male friend. Sources said the CCTV footage of the railway station has clearly shown her landing on platform no. 6 and exiting through platform no. 1 with her male friend. From the CCTV footage, she was suspected of having eloped with her boyfriend, sources said.
The girl was studying in the second year of Aerospace engineering at a private college situated in the Khandagiri area and she is a resident of 24 Pargana in West Bengal. Sweety boarded the Janshatabdi Express from Howrah but failed to reach her destination.
A written complaint in this regard has been lodged by her local guardian with the Government Railway Police (GRP) after her parents could not contact her on her mobile phone. They had alleged that their daughter had been kidnapped.
