Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a roadshow on Saturday for local body elections in Bhopal. The local body polls in Madhya Pradesh is scheduled on July 06 and July 13. The elections will be held for 413 urban bodies including 16 municipal corporations, 99 municipalities and 298 city councils.
During the mega road show in Govindpura assembly constituency, the candidates of the ward were also present with the Chief Minister. It rained, but the enthusiastic workers and leaders continued with the roadshow. . CM Shivraj Singh first reached Misrod at 10:30 am with MLA Krishna Gaur and Mayor's candidate Mal Malti Rai.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed the general meeting in Misrod. During this, he said that all the necessary civic amenities including bridges, culverts, roads, parks will be strengthened in Misrod. Along with this, schemes of poor welfare like free ration to pucca houses will be given. He said that the government has freed 21000 acres of land from the possession of goons, crooks, mafia, which will be used for the works of welfare for the poor.
After the general meeting, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan rode on the campaign chariot.
The road show passed through different wards of Govindpura assembly. It ended in Bhanpur area. During this, in the 20-km roadshow, 18 candidates rode on the campaign chariot from different places. During the roadshow, suddenly it started raining on Hoshangabad Road.
The road show did not stop even in the midst of this rain. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan continued the road show in this situation and interacted with the people and accepted their greetings.
