CM opens Eco-Resort, to employ ex-Naxalites

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday inaugurated an Eco Tourism Resort in village Chitrakot during his visit to Dantewada district.

The site was a Special Task Force Camp, which has been renovated as a resort. It will employ 10 mainly surrendered Maoists and family members of Naxalite victims.

The resort has been built at a cost of Rs 2.90 crores, an official communication said.

It has dormitories for children coming for studies from the interior areas. It has a roof top restaurant. River rafting will be made available for tourists.

The resort has been constructed by the district administration. It will be operated by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board.
