People in Chhattisgarh have given positive feedback that government schemes are being implemented meaningfully, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Wednesday.
Talking to the media at Balod, he described as "wonderful" the response to his Bhent Mulaqat Abhiyan (direct public interaction) that began on May 4.
The state government has been working on the core idea of how to increase the income of people, he said.
With the various government schemes, there was a hike in income in each sector, giving a boost to the economic growth and employment opportunities, he said.
Baghel said the Chhattisgarh model was based on the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi. In the era of global crisis, the model is showing a way to the whole country.
“When farmers look happy, it is a moment of pride. It is also a moment of happiness when children speak English. The saddest moment is when a farmer from Kusumaksa said his neighbour got benefit of crop insurance but he was denied. This should not happen.” He said Balod's places of historical and megalithic monuments will be conserved. Work on maintenance of roads will start after monsoon.
