Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted saplings of Peepal, Kachnar and Pithodiya in the Smart City Garden along with the members of Art of Living organisation on Wednesday. Members of the organisation Ranu Sharma, Pramila Diwakar, Poorva Khale and Shikha Shrivastava also planted saplings. Social worker Seema Singh planted a sapling on her birthday.
Sushma Babisa, Savita Yadav, Rajkumar Vishwakarma, Bharat Singh Chandravanshi, Kashinath Babisa and Shubham also participated in the plantation. The organisation works to make women aware in the field of literacy and health and plantation is also done to protect the environment.
Peepal planted today is considered a shady and environment-purifying tree. It also has religious and Ayurvedic significance.
Kachnar is a beautiful flowering tree. Nature has made many plants and trees that abound in medicinal properties, among them Kachnar is one. Pithodiya (Sona Patti) is considered very auspicious with religious significance.
