An eye checkup camp was organised at the Birsa Bhawan of Salia Sahi on Monday with a joint initiative of Odisha Mo-Parivar and LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Bhubaneswar. As many as 90 persons of the locality availed the facility, in which mainly cataract, black cataract, glaucoma, vision issues were examined.
Those having ailments like cataract and black cataract cases were advised of surgery at LVPEI free of cost. Besides, spectacles will be provided free by Odisha Mo-Parivar, said Odisha Mo-Parivar convener Arup Pattnaik.
BMC Mayor Sulochana Das also had her eye checkup in the camp. Odisha Mo-Paribar joint secretary Rudra Samantaray coordinated the camp where as State coordinator Mihir Ray, Corporator Bharati Singh and other members of OMP supervised it.
