Giridih MP, villagers stop 15 trucks loaded with illegal coal in Bermo

As many as 15 coal-laden trucks were on Thursday night intercepted by the Member of Parliament, Giridih Chandra Prakash Chaudhary along with local villagers during a check at Pichhari area under Paterwar police station.

The check was conducted amid the reports of unabated rise in illegal coal transportation cases.

Illegal coal mining and its transportation have been going on in Bokaro and the district police administration as well Jharkhand government is not taking any action to prevent such activities, the Member of parliament Chandra Prakash Chaudhary  said on Friday.

"Incidents of illegal mining and transportation of coal are taking place and the district administration is aware of it,added the MP.

According to reports the MP along with his supporters stopped  15 trucks carrying illegal coal on the night of 20 January and accused the administration of being involved in this black business in collaboration with the coal mafia.

While talking to the Pioneer MP Chandra Prakash Chaudhary said that after getting the information, he along with his supporters suddenly reached the spot and then they not only seized many vehicles laden with illegal coal, but their supporters also stopped them everywhere by taking out the air of the vehicles.  During the surprise raid of the MP, several vehicles laden with illegal coal started running away, which his supporters chased to seize it.

The MP alleged that the local police administration are directly involved in the loot of Jharkhand's property and are also part of illegal earnings. The MP said in a threatening tone that he would not allow any kind of illegal work to be done in his Lok Sabha constituency. He himself will bust the illegal business by conducting raids along with his supporters.

While the former Bermo MLA Yogeshwar Mahato Batul said that half of the coal production being done from B&K, Dhori and Kathara areas of CCL gets stolen
