Ludhiana:  Over a week after Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala was killed

in broad daylight on May 29, party MP from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu on Tuesday filed a

police complaint with Ludhiana Police alleging that he received threat calls from UK on

WhatsApp for “speaking against Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and Khalistanis”. The caller, calling

from an unknown “international number” on Bittu’s PA Harjinder Singh’s mobile number, has

threatened Bittu to “meet the same fate as Moosewala”. Currently, Bittu is abroad with his

family. Bittu is the grandson of Punjab’s former Chief Minister Beant Singh who was

assassinated on August 31, 1995, by terrorists in a dreaded bomb blast outside the Punjab Civil

Secretariat. In MP’s absence, his office staff in Ludhiana has informed the matter to the police.
