The police arrested two youths, who are brothers, on Wednesday on charges of theft, fraud and extortion in Paradip. They were identified as Biswajit Bal and Sushant Bal.
The police registered a case under various sections including 420,406,341, 34 of IPC against the duo and forwarded them to court.
However, after the court rejected their bail application, they were reportedly sent to Samagol Jail in Kujang.
Biswajit who was working as an accountant for Saikrupa Construction had disappeared with valuable official documents and data, while his brother Sushant was involved in an extortion case. There were complaints against them with the Paradip Model police station. The police managed to nab the duo on the same day.
