Habibganj police have busted a vehicle lifter gang, arrested 3 miscreants and recovered vehicles worth Rs 5 lakh from their possesion.
Acting on a tip off three youths on two different motorcycles were detained which were not having registration number.
The two were identified as Rahim Mirza and Azhar and the third person on the second motorcycle was identified as Danish.
In the interrogation, case under section of 41(1-4) CrPC and section 379 of the IPC was registered. On being arrested and interrogated about other incidents by bringing the accused to the police station. In addition to the incidents of police station Shahpura area, in the last two months, 6 motorcycles and Activa scooters were stolen from different places in the police station Habibganj area.
After confiscating a total of valuables from 8 criminal cases worth about Rs.5 lakh. The accused hold past criminal record Rahim Mirza works as painter and was booked for over 3 dozens cases including attempt to murder and burglary.
Danish was booked for over half a dozen criminal cases while who sell Azhar has been booked for over a dozen criminal cases including vehicle theft.
