Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal organized various programmes on the occasion of International Museum Day on Wednesday.
On this occasion, a Temporary Photographic Exhibition ‘Life of Sparrow’ jointly organised by Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal; Bhopal Birds Conservation Society and Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity Board; was inaugurated.
Chief Guest of the occasion was Atul Shrivastava, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest & Member Secretary of Madhya Pradesh State Biodiversity and Special Guest was Viny Raj Modi, Vice President, Association of unaided Pvt Schools, Madhya Pradesh. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Scientist-in-Charge of the museum delivered welcome address.
During the address, he welcomed Chief Guest, Special Guest, winners & participants of photographic temporary exhibition, participants of summer nature study programme Green Teen & Green Cub and other guests. He informed about the programmes & activities organize by museum towards nature conservation. In the continuation of programme, Beenish Rafat, Scientist-C detailed about the summer nature study programme - Green Cub organizing from May 18 to June 05, 2022.
Similarly, Maniklal Gupta, Scientist-C detailed about the summer nature study programme - Green Teen being organized from May 18 to June 5, 2022. Sangeeta Rajgeer detailed about the Temporary Photographic Exhibition “Life of Sparrow”. During his speech, Special Guest Viny Raj Modi appreciated programme & activities of the RMNH, Bhopal towards nature conservation. Chief Guest Atul Shrivastava congratulated the RMNH, Bhopal on the occasion of International Museum Day and told that RMNH, Bhopal is a unique museum which is dedicated towards nature conservation.
He also told that children & teenager should become aware towards nature conservation. Mohd Khalique, CEO from Bhopal Birds Conservation Society announced the names of winners of Photographic Temporary Exhibition “Life of Sparrow” and the Chief Guest, & Special Guest distributed the prizes to winners & certificates to participants.
The programme was concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Shri Mohd. Khalique.
