Ashoka Garden police have busted an interstate gang and nabbed three Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) based miscreants involved in robbery of mobile phone from Ashoka Garden area; accused have committed robberies in Kota, Bhuvneshwar and Jaipur.
The accused used to cheat victims using a pouch having glass which appears like mobile phone but in Ashoka Garden when victim refused to buy mobile phone they robbed his mobile phone and escape.
One of the accused was nabbed while two managed to escape with the scooter. Nabbed accused was identified as Danish.
In the investigation when Danish was quizzed he confessed that he along with his two other accomplices came from Meerut to Bhopal and stayed in a hotel in Laxmi Talkies area and committed crime by taking a scooter on rent. The scooter used in the robbery was seized and two others were arrested.
During interrogation to the police, gang revealed that they buy black colored mobile cover pouches from Delhi and after cutting pieces of glass of the size of the mobile it was fixed. After trapping victim and talking about selling the mobile, expensive Android mobile phones was shown and after making a deal with the customer fraudulently pouch was handed over to victim.
The two remaining accused was identified as Sirajuddin alias Saju and Nazim Malik of Meerut Uttar Pradesh.
