Tribal museum organising five-day Ekagra Chitra camp

On the occasion of International Museum Day, Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum is organizing a five-day Ekagra Chitra Camp cum training activity on watercolor style began from Wednesday.

Padmashree Durgabai Vyam, Tribal Folk Arts and Language Development Academy Director Dharmendra Pare, senior painter LN Bhavsar, eminent painter Ramchandra Shivaji Kharatmal and Kudlayya Mahaantayya Hiremath-Pune were present.

The camp was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the guests. The first, second and third prize winners of each age group, along with children from each age group, Nutan Mahavidyalaya, Hamidia Mahavidyalaya, Geetanjali Mahavidyalaya and M.L.B. Directorate of College and Culture in Khandwa, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur students participated in the camp.

The theme of the camp is "Tribal Museum: Image of the Image", which will be painted by the participants of the camp through watercolours. In the beginning of the camp, young painters of watercolor style invited from Pune talked to the participating children.

He said that on the first day today the participants will have to prepare their own pictures, after that the participants will be divided into different groups. In this camp, we will also learn to draw with watercolours and the systematic use of colours.

 

Colours also have their own language which makes the image more attractive and meaningful. During these five days, as much as possible, the participants will share through mutual interaction and picture karma and will be part of the journey of better painting.

The Culture Department and the museum deserve thanks for this activity being organized by the painters keeping the Guru Shishya tradition at the center of the Gurukul method of Indian teaching.

On this occasion, Akademi Director Dharmendra Pare and Museum President Ashok Mishra thanked all the participants and guest painters.
