Chhattisgarh Police on Saturday arrested two siblings including a minor for murder and theft at house a few days ago in a village in Dhamtari district.
Dhamtari Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur identified them as Mukesh Banjare (21) and his 12-year-old brother, both from Demar village.
They crushed Jayanti Sinha (51) to death and stole cash and ornaments.
They confessed to killing the woman on Sunday night to get money to celebrate Rakshabandhan festival.
The police recovered the stolen gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 70,000 from them. A court sent Banjare to prison and the minor to a juvenile home.
