The Gajapati police have arrested a hardcore Maoist Prafulla Parichha (50) from his village Depapunka under the Adaba police station in the district.
Parichha was on the radar of police from 2008. He has seven cases pending against him on the charges of destroying public infrastructure, holding road blockades and attacks on security forces and other violent incidents.
Police conducted a raid after getting information that the wanted Maoist had come to his village, said Adaba police station IIC said Anand Chandra Patra.
