Chhattisgarh Police on Friday arrested a 46-year-old woman for killing her mother-in-law over a family dispute in a village in Surajpur district.
Surajpur Superintendent of Police Ram Krishna Sahu said Lunti Bai of Chandeli village has been taken into custody.
She axed Safano Bai to death on Tuesday night. Lunti Bai was the elder daughter-in-law of the deceased.
After arrest, she confessed to killing her mother-in-law when she was sleeping as the former did not like the latter and frequently fought with her over petty issues.
