The International Yoga Day was celebrated at the Umarkote court premises under the aegis of Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, Taluk Legal Services Committee, Umarkote, Sunil Kumar Das.
Bar members and officials of the court participated in the event and performed different yoga asanas and meditation by the instruction of Haridwar Patanjali Yogpeeth guru Pradeep Kumar Kachim. ADJ Das apprised the participants about the benefits of yoga, saying yoga is an invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition that helps in physical development and mental relaxation as well as development of strength, flexibility and immunity. This is especially important in the present scenario of the pandemic when mental and physical health of the people has come under dire stress.
Umarkote Civil Judge (Senior Division) Niranjan Patro and Judicial Magistrate First Class Parveen Mandal were present.
