On the occasion of 75th Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Yoga was practiced all over India on the occasion of 8th International Day of Yoga. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Mysore and Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav from Konark Temple in Bhubaneswar performed yoga.
Under the joint aegis of West Central Railway Headquarters and Jabalpur Division, 8th International Yoga Day was organized at Rail Saurabh Adhikari Club and Satpura Club.
The program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was connected with the Yoga practice program of West Central Railway through virtual medium and 117 in Rail Saurabh Officers Club and 124 in Satpura Club, Prime Minister and Railway Minister Practiced Yoga under Common Yoga Protocol through virtual medium.
On this occasion, General Manager Sudhir Kumar Gupta administered the oath of regular yoga practice to the officers and employees and practiced yoga. Along with expressing his valuable thoughts, he guided with his invaluable thoughts on the theme of this year's Yoga Day "Yoga for Humanity" and informed about the benefits of doing regular yoga that it helps to calm the body and mind.
Similarly, International Yoga Day was celebrated in both the other divisions of West Central Railway, Bhopal and Kota and both the factories.
Passengers and employees have been motivated to do yoga under Common Yoga Protocol by video clippings, audio announcements and jingles related to International Yoga Day at major stations of West Central Railway.
